The Role
The Logistics Supervisor at Olympia is responsible for the effective management and leadership of the Logistics Security Officers, ensuring the safety and security of the logistics and loading bay area. This role involves overseeing daily operations, coordinating team activities, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and acting as the primary point of contact for logistics security matters. The Supervisor will foster a culture of professionalism, service excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
As part of a skilled team of SIA licenced security and customer service professionals, you will be motivated, approachable, flexible, and dependable. You will demonstrate service excellence through all interactions with stakeholders, including our customer, resident businesses, and members of the public. This role is about more than just security; it’s about making a difference through supporting our customers in their local community. - Ideally SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence holders.
- SIA CCTV licence holders.
- Able to work 12-hour shifts covering days, nights and weekends.
Your core responsibilities will include
Team Leadership & Supervision- Lead, motivate, and support the team of Logistics Security Officers, ensuring high standards of performance and conduct.
- Coordinate shift schedules, manage attendance, and oversee daily deployment of officers.
- Provide coaching, training, and ongoing development to team members.
- Conduct regular briefings and debriefings to ensure effective communication and operational readiness.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee all aspects of access control, vehicle screening, and goods movement within the loading bay ensuring chain of custody integrity.
- Ensure compliance with estate security protocols, including ANPR, CCTV, and visitor management systems.
- Monitor and review incident reports, logs, and handover notes for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate high-risk or high-value deliveries, implementing enhanced security measures as required.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with delivery personnel, contractors, facilities teams, tenant representatives, and the Control Room to ensure smooth logistics operations.

- Act as the escalation point for incidents, emergencies, or operational challenges in the loading bay.
- Represent the security team in meetings with Olympia management and other stakeholders.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce health and safety protocols, including vehicle movement control, pedestrian segregation, and PPE compliance.
- Lead emergency response efforts in the loading bay, coordinating with emergency services as needed.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and investigations by providing documentation and guidance.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance security processes, team performance, and customer service.
- Promote a positive team culture focused on learning, growth, and service excellence.
Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure the team maintains accurate logs of all vehicle entries, deliveries, incidents, and inspections using digital reporting tools.
- Check completed incident reports and handover notes, ensuring these activities are managed in a timely and professional manner.
- Support audits and compliance checks by providing documentation and access to records.
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Uphold Olympia’s standards of appearance, conduct, and confidentiality.
- Ensure the team receives regular training on vehicle screening, emergency response, and estate-specific procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a security, logistics, or similar environment.
- SIA Door Supervision license holder.
- 5 years of checkable work and address history.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and busy working environments.
- Knowledge of loading bay, gatehouse, corporate, commercial, retail, or events security is desirable.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to professional standards.
