About the Role

 We are seeking hardworking and reliable Commercial Train Depot Cleaning Operatives to join our team. This role involves ensuring that the train depot areas are cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.

You will work as part of a team and as an individual, using specialist cleaning equipment and chemicals to clean all areas of a train depot facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, floors, windows, and pit areas.
  • Carry out exterior and interior washing using specialist cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of depot areas, including, staff rooms, and offices.
  • Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH and health & safety regulations.
  • Remove waste and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
  • Report any damage, safety hazards, or maintenance issues to the supervisor/manager.
  • Work efficiently to meet cleaning schedules.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is preferred but not essential (full training provided).
  • Understanding of COSHH and health & safety regulations (training available).
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Experience working in a train depot or transport environment is an advantage.

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, birth certificate or a valid share code.
