The role

 

Carlisle Support Services is looking for a Contract Manager to successfully deliver its contractual operational and financial target, ensuring full compliance to customer’s terms of business, service level agreements (SLA’s), health and safety requirements and legislation associated with the delivery of this service. In addition, ensure all staff are fully trained and engaged to complete their roles.

 

Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:

 

  • Maintain and develop client relationship
  • Deliver security services in line with contractual requirements through effective resource management 
  • Ensure full compliance with maritime, shipping, and health & safety legislation 
  • Promote and enforce a strong health & safety culture across all operations 
  • Report, investigate, and close out all incidents, accidents, and near misses in line with procedures 
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, fit for purpose, and PAT tested annually 
  • Maintain up-to-date operational documentation (SOPs, risk assessments, assignment instructions) 
  • Ensure all non-conformities and audit actions are closed within agreed timeframes 
  • Conduct and manage regular quality and compliance audits in line with agreed programmes 
  • Ensure full understanding and application of escalation procedures for incidents 
  • Deliver prompt and effective incident response in line with contractual and legal requirements 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders 
  • Attend and contribute to monthly client review meetings 
  • Complete monthly client satisfaction checks and drive continuous improvement 
  • Capture, investigate, and resolve all customer complaints with clear communication 
  • Manage the contract budget, ensuring financial targets and P&L requirements are met 
  • Maintain financial control including forecasting, cost management, and reporting 
  • Ensure all additional services are authorised and documented in line with contract terms 
  • Lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve high performance 
  • Conduct monthly 1:1s with direct reports and manage performance effectively 
  • Conduct Quarterly review
  • Address underperformance and support development of high-potential staff 
  • Facilitate quarterly employee forums and promote workforce engagement 
  • Maintain accurate and compliant operational and audit records 
  • Ensure adherence to ISO quality standards and internal processes

 

The ideal candidate

 

  • Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen (budget & P&L management)
  • Experienced in managing security operations in high-risk or regulated environments
  • Port Authority experience
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and compliance frameworks
  • Disciplined, process-driven, and detail-oriented
  • Passionate about service delivery and continuous improvement
  • Effective leader who delivers through people
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Collaborative approach within senior management teams

 

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. 

This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
