The role

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm. Reasonable flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be required.

As a Supervisor, you will join a strong team of well-trained, experienced and passionate colleagues who are committed to upholding company values and delivering exceptional service to our customers. You will use the training provided to comply with HSQE requirements and rail-critical safety procedures.

You will report to Claire Chegwin and work closely with them to deliver a comprehensive cleaning service in accordance with agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleaning standards to the BICSc Standards with all staff.
  • Achieve the Weekly/monthly targets set by your manager.
  • Support the training of new employees when requested by the Training Manager.
  • Monitor cleaning standards and address any performance or quality issues with cleaning staff supporting the area manager.
  • Conduct walk-throughs with cleaners to ensure that roles, duties and expectations are clearly understood.
  • Complete Work IT daily – Training will be given by your manager.
  • Demonstrate required cleaning duties and reinforce expected standards through practical instruction.
  • Ensure that all health and safety requirements are consistently followed.
  • Address any SQEs with the team immediately.
  • Complete and maintain required documentation, including folder records and toolbox talks.
  • Report all health and safety issues to your manager immediately.
  • Ensure that all employees understand and complete their daily duties and tasks, including:
  • Abandoned/Illegally Parked Bike Policy.
  • Compliance with station and CSS log-in policies.
  • Rothenburg unblocking procedures.
  • Replenishment of consumables, including soap, toilet tissue and hand towels.
  • Reporting broken or damaged dispensers to the station CSS Manager
  • Testing hand dryers with operatives daily
  • Test All Sani Bins including Lids and Pedals – Report any damaged
  • Ensure that all employees use the equipment available to them correctly and appropriately.
  • Identify training needs and report them to the Training Manager for action.
Experience

Previous cleaning experience in a supervisory capacity is required.

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, original payslip, birth certificate or a valid share code.
